Today I went to the track on the companies dime. They took a group of us to the track and gave everyone 25 dollars to bet with. It was my first time at the track and I can honestly say it was a lot of fun. Not because I won money (I won $38.60) but just the excitment and how relaxing it was to sit in the sun in the afternoon and not worry about emails or orders waiting to be processed.

I didn’t know what I was doing really, I just went up to a machine and picked two horses, one I like based on the odds of it winning and its experience, then with the second bet I did what I thought  Tanya would have done and bet on a horse with a name she would have liked (Delightful Daisy). So my horse (Grooms Chaser) finished 6th and Tanya’s horse did much better and finished 2nd so I guess the winnings are really Tanya’s not mine. Either way it was a fun trip and I recommend it to anyone toying with the idea.
